Astral Winds is a Duchy within the Kingdom of Dragonspine in the world of Amtgard. (A world-wide medieval reenactment organization.)

We are based in Fairbanks, Alaska and are primarily a youth based organization that provides historical classes on a variety of subjects (sewing, leatherworking, armoring, etc) as well as partaking in medieval combat re-enactments.  These re-enactments teach teamwork, strategy and fair play, all the while getting people active.

We have strong ties to our community and run charitable programs supporting Toys-for-Tots and the local Food Bank.  In addition, our members spend a great deal of time and effort cleaning and maintaining the park we use in the summer.

We meet on a weekly basis at one of two locations depending on the time of year.

In the summer (May through September) we meet at Growden Park from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturdays.  Growden park is located off of First Avenue near the Carlson Center and the Goldpanners' Baseball Field.

In the winter (October through April) we meet at Old University Park (1000 University Avenue) from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Saturdays.
