How do I Register my child as a student?
There are three steps that must be taken before your child can participate: How Much does it Cost? Currently, the class costs nothing and is run entirely on donations. However, there *are* costs associated with the class. Your child will be expected to purchase supplies for the construction portions of the class and will be expected to work on some of these projects at home. Does my child need any special equipment? Yes. While the majority of the equipment needed will be created throughout the course, your student will need the following:1. You must fill out a waiver for you child. (Click here to download a waiver) 2. You must bring your child to class. Currently, classes are held at Growden Park (Behind the Gold Panners' Field near the Carlson Center) from 11:30am to 2:00pm 3. You must be prepared to sit through at least 1 class with your child so that you have an understanding of the sort of activities (s)he will be participating in. 1. Gym Shoes. (Winter Only) These may *only* be worn in the gym and should not be for everyday use. 2. Black Sweat Pants The students will eventually learn how to make their own pants, but they'll need these until they've done so. 3. Brown T-Shirt The students will eventually learn how to make their own Tunics, but they'll need this to wear in the meantime. 4. Access to a sewing machine Several of the courses and homework will require the student to use a sewing machine. If your child has no way of accessing a sewing machine, contact the instructor to make special arrangements. |
